There are different types of bullying and effects of bullying. the effects also vary on the person experiencing and/or witnessing the bullying.
Some symptoms are:
-Depression
-Anxiety
-Feeling lonely
-Missing or skipping school/classes
-Anorexia
-Change in sleep patterns
-Vandalism
-Engagement with underage sex, drugs and alcohol
-Self Harm
-Suicide
Some signs of bullying are:
-Unusual and unexplainable Injuries
-Lost or damaged personal goods (books, clothes, electronics and jewellery)
-Repetitive illness and/or faking illness
-Changes in eating habits
-Changes in sleeping patterns
-Declining grades
-Loss of friends and social status
-Feeling helpless and/or decreasing self esteem
-Wanting to run away from home, self harm and/or commit suicide. Or talking about these in regards to themselves.

Indirect bullying: where someone tries to bring another's reputation down through rumours or gossip within their social group. Studies have shown that when children grow up they will move from direct bullying to indirect bullying.
Direct bullying: the most obvious of all types of bullying, it is acts of physical bullying or aggression where a person is hit, punched, kicked, stomped, etc. it also turns to the victim being verbally teased or name called dropping victim to inappropriate sexual comments or gestures.
